Summer Reading Challenge 2024
A huge well done to all of our children and families who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge. Forty- six children from William Hildyard managed to complete the challenge of reading six books over the summer.
On Thursday 18th May, we were very excited to welcome Sam Ruddock to school. Sam is a Paralympic athlete who has competed at London 2012 and Rio 2016 for Great Britain. He is also a sports ambassador for Inspire+, a sports charity that we are linked with. Sam spoke to the whole school about his life as an athlete and about his experiences at the Paralympics.
William Hildyard children were delighted to be part of the Deepings Literary Festival on Friday 28th April 2017.

The PTFA annual Christmas Fayre is a highlight of our calendar. Over £2000 was raised this year, with a huge array of stalls and attractions.
We were delighted to welcome Olympic swimmer Sophie Allen to school this week.
Farmer Nick kindly took the time to bring his tractor into schoold for Nursery and Reception children to explore.
The whole school walked a mile in their wellies last week to raise money to help children in Africa go to school.
Thank you for joining us for ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, 30th September. A total of £200.45 was raised.
We are holding several events across school this week to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. On Friday children and adults will be dressing up as their favourite character from one of his many books and taking part in an off-timetable day full of phizz-whizzing activities!
