Summer Reading Challenge 2024
A huge well done to all of our children and families who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge. Forty- six children from William Hildyard managed to complete the challenge of reading six books over the summer.

Everyone who attended the Family Bingo and Y6 Bake Off had a fun evening and which raised £415.56. The ever-popular Car Boot Sale raised an additional £386.95, so we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for supporting our school events.
Over 180 entries were received for our Stained Glass Cross competition. It was very difficult to decide on a winner with so many fantastic designs to choose from. Eventually two winners were chosen, Rhyan in Year 6 and Olivia in Year 5. They have worked together to come up with a combined design, which is currently being made and will hang in our main Reception area.
Our latest Ofsted report is now available online.
The Chrismas Fayre was a huge success, raising an amazing £2871.46! The PTFA are very grateful to everyone who came along, donated or helped out. Full details are on the PTFA page.

We are aware that some of our children are playing Fortnite, a hugely popular XBox game. Parents should be aware that it is aimed at children of 12 or above and therefore not appropriate for children at our school. It also features voice and text chat which cannot be turned off; this puts children at risk of unrestricted communication with strangers.
Thank you to everyone who supported the second hand uniform sale. A total of £39.50 was raised.
On Saturday 10th March, a team from William Hilyard Primary school attended the local schools cross country championships at Wellend Academy, Stamford.
