Year 6 learned about how the internet works, from website designers putting together a page to go onto the World Wide Web to how the page is eventually displayed on a laptop in our school. They also traced the journey of a packets of data using this website.  Try typing in www.williamhildyard.lincs.sch.uk then pressing Host Trace.  You might be surprised at how far your request has travelled!

Then the children made spinners to show the six different parts of the Internet.  Do you know the difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web?
